Jonathan Field Horsemanship Clinics
If you’ve ever been inspired by watching Jonathan with his horses, here’s a bonus — where he really thrives is helping people with their horses!
Participation in a Jonathan Field Horsemanship Clinic is an unforgettable and invaluable step in your journey toward excellent horsemanship. Formed in a fun and safe environment, these clinics bring your relationship with your horse to an elevated level.
 With personal attention and advice from Jonathan to help you and your horse improve, your progress will not only accelerate — you’ll also be able to continue that progress at home. Immersing your horse in a different setting with many other horses around is both a great teaching tool and experience for him. And watching the advancements and experiences of the other riders will compel you to see things from another point of view. Clinics are held in 3- or 4-day formats, according to the focus of each clinic, and run from morning until late afternoon each day. There are several different courses, starting from the very foundational level and advancing through to the highest levels. All the clinics are structured around learning, laughing, making new friends and developing a great partnership with your horse.
 The introductory Course 1 Leadership Clinic is valuable for anyone, from novice to much more advanced riders, who are seeking to build a strong horsemanship foundation based on the psychology of horses. If you’re very new to horses, don’t be concerned that you’re not ready — Jonathan will guide you through every step in a fun, clear and concise way.
Although much of the learning is initially focused on the rider and on how we can better understand horses, the horses themselves benefit a great deal from this setting. These exceptional learning opportunities can’t be reproduced from home, especially under the watchful eye of such a great teacher.
 Entry into the more advanced clinics, beyond Course 2 or Specialized Workshops, require the rider to meet a set of prerequisites as outlined in the Course Assessments. Many skilled riders seek the more advanced clinics with Jonathan because of these prerequisites that keep the standards high for the courses. These standards ensure that the highly dedicated riders get out of each clinic what they came for.
As a Spectator, clinics are educational and inspiring for your own journey with horsemanship. By participating as an observer, that unique perspective enables you to study by watching riders and their horses play and learn through different exercises and lessons.
