Jonathan Field Horsemanship Jonathan Field Horsemanship
Jonathan’s love of horses began early, and he can’t remember when they weren’t part of his life. His earliest memories are of competing in horse shows, both English and Western. As a teenager, he cowboyed for the Quilchena Cattle Company. At nineteen, he suffered an industrial accident. Horses were instrumental in his recovery and it was then that he decided to make horses his life.
Jonathan has been privileged to study under some great horsemen, including Ronnie Willis, Ray Hunt and World Reining Champion, Craig Johnson. His greatest mentor, however, is Pat Parelli. It was Pat who impressed upon Jonathan the fundamental truth about Jonathan Field Horsemanship: the dignity of the horse must always come first.
